What is Collectorsite™?Collectorsite.net is a fully hosted, templatable web site engine designed to augment existing collector & community websites. The engine provides various site features (i.e. new sections for your website) including user reviews, and product sightings. The engine is highly templatable so that can look like "just another section" of your own website.Collectorsite can... • Build your site's community with new ways for visitors to interact. (Collectorsite is a perfect complement to a site forum.) • Generate new traffic, and improve SEO. (Think, searches for "pick-a-product-name reviews".) Where did it come from?Collectorsite.net is a spin-off from the makers of Unicron.com, a Transformers collector site. The custom Reviews & Sightings sections there helped build and nurture our community. So we figured there must be other sites like ours that could benefit from the same features. Then, we pulled out these sections and made them templatable for any site to use, and Collectorsite was born.What does it cost?Collectorsite is free. To support site maintenance etc., we place a reasonably sized banner (currently, google adsense) on each site. You can configure the position and dimensions of the banner within your template, and additionally include as much of your own advertizing as you want. |
