Reviews - Animated Grimlock
Him Grimlock am awesome! great figure, very accurate nice gimmick with the sword
i think he is verry interesting. the dinobots are back. just wish there was a use for his sword in beast mode
good fig transforms just like g1
Neat modes, neat transformation, except for the 'slide the arms into the shoulder' bit. Mine already have cracking plastic because they don't slide well. Not very posable, but neat looking. Is his jaw supposed to be lower on one side?
only complaint is that head doesn't move unless you take it off the back piece and legs in t rex mode don't hold him up well robot mode is good though
As a destroyer of worlds... and pie, I have to say... AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! ( I'm also a fan of dinosaurs so this is 2 in 1 for me )
The styling of this guy is just so cool, from the oversized chins in each mode to the clean/matte finish >animated aesthetic. Transformation is fun. Bot is posable w/ just enough paint/sculpt detailing to make'm intersting. Flame sword AWESOME. Me LOVE'm!
Great looking figure, I must admit the only reason I passed on it is because I still have my original G1 Grimlock in my collection to this day. Anyone think im making a mistake please comment.
Very nice figure, what the classics grimlock should have been.
I wish his sword could fit on his T-Rex mode. I also wish my Grimlock could stand better in Dino mode.
I wish the Rex was more posable, but I can deal. What I would like to see is the robot head more hidden and maybe a place to put the sword as a Rex. Changing is a little too easy, but the great bot mode more than makes up for it and the sword is cool.
Salute to old-school Grimlock. Very similar. GREAT bot-mode. Sword gimmick well done. Like the color scheme. Just looks really cool. Bot-mode is tied with Starscream as my favorite from animated line.
i give grimlock 10 because his transformation is almost identical to the g1 grimlock . very cool .
he's a really great figure! the "head" issue in dino mode is a little over-blown. bot form is wonderful, his sword is awesome. his transformation is easy, and no issues with fragile parts in this one. robot arms are tricky at first, but not a big deal.
Overall, not a bad figure.
First, the gold color is not cheesey - the color scheme harkens back to G1 in a nice way. Only complaint is that I wish the designers could have found a way to cover up the robot head in dino mode. Robot mode is where this mold shines. Get him fool!
Robot is perfect, not a flaw, once you get the hang of his arms you are good to go. Dino mode is good but the robot head showing hurts it. Wish the neck would move. Other than that its a great toy and definitely a must buy. Transforms like the G1 Figure
Good homage to G1. Very stiff and unposeable arms in bot mode. Head visable in T Rex mode. T Rex mode has limited poseability. Still a good Animated figure and very respresentive of the TV show. Along with Lugnut, one of the best Voyagers of this line.
robot arms confusing at first but when realized actually make the toy work nice. solid dino mode, and nice touch with the flame sword gimick, wished his hip join wasnt so loose in robot mode
New Grimlock paint scheme is fair, gold color is a little cheesy. Changing T-Rex legs to robot arms is a little tricky at first and kind of stiff. Robot hip joints are overly loose.
T-rex mode has big gaps, arms are completely not poseable, neck and head are rigid and do not move. Bot mode is a lot better if you can figure out the bot arms/beast legs.
Awesome t-rex mode, awesome robot mode, awesome Grimlock figure. Yes, the head is visible, but nicely hidden, just like the dino parts hide nicely when in robot mode. Possibly my favorite figure of the Voyagers so far!
Another nice Animated figure. Excellent tribute to the G1 toy, transformation is very similar but adds a few new twists (like how the back legs are formed). The sword with pop out flames is fun too. Too bad the robot head is visible in t-rex mode.
