Reviews - Universe Tankor
Didn't care for this figure originally but he has grown on me over the years. Not a fan of his feet still. Don't care for the claw feature but the removable dual barrelled guns are nice. I really wish thay hadn't changed his name from Octane!
Loses points for a lack of posability, but that's acceptable because he's a triple changer. Fun transformation, neat (if clunky) weapons. Very recommended to anyone who's a fan of Octane or the Universe line.
Good triple changer and a nice update on G1 Octane. Like the plane mode and tanker mode looks better with the guns used as smokestakes on the cab section. Not a big fan of his melee weapon but i like how his guns combine like G1 target master jnrs.
WY DID THEY CALL HIM TANKOR ????? :(
Well he is pretty good but I dont like the melae wepon it's just too big but I like it anyway its my first triple changer and just like (megatron has a kitty kat) bellow me it wont be my last. ;)
my first real triple changer.but not the last :)
Not bad. I wished they called him Octane though.
Itz SUPERB!!!
After the initial curiosity pays off it becomes a very boring figure. Legs don't stand up straight. Body and wings seem a bit off kilter. The only redeeming quality is the face. Other than that he's a bit subpar.
I bought him today "Octane" is a good addition to the classics. I definitely like him better than Astrotrain. Astrotrain isn't a bad figure, but I like this one better. This Transformer has a RID feel to it. That's the best way I can describe it.
Nice figure but not great. I love his colors! Gets a 9 from me.
Tankor's great! Not all that complex in conversion, & the the wings could be bigger & can do without the propellers. But being a triple changer with a cool robot form makes it all up for it.
I know "Triple Changers" must be hard {on a logistics level} to design but i think they shouldve just made him a normal transformer. The truck mode just seems like an afterthought, like with Primus and the so called 3rd mode, his intergalactic world-ship.
A good robot mode which has enough elements to remind of the fact he's really octane, which was my first ever triple changer! Truck mode is poor and fiddly to transform to. Plane mode looks all out of proportion. Buy it for the robot mode.
He looked so promising in all the pictures, but as soon as I got the package open, I almost regretted buying him. His robot mode is decent, and I'm starting to like his plane mode, but the truck mode is worthless.
Worst of the classics so far. Astrotrain is far better. Alt modes are weak and shoulders make posing in bot mode difficult. No real QC problems but still weak as Classics go.Get Prowl or Sunstreaker first and Tankor as to complete set.
Octane, I mean Tankor (rolls eyes) is the favorite so far. Melee weapon keeps popping of during transform to truck/plane modes. Guns are okay, but I don't like having to take them off to transform him. Don't like melee weapon at all.
While he doesn't have the q.c. issues of prowl and sunstreaker, his vehicle modes are pathetic. The original toy is actually a bit better IMHO. Bot mode has its good points, but the ridiculous blade thing is not one of them.
looks exactly what updated version of this figure should, only big complaint is the molded hands and the fact that the 80s version looked more like a tankor truck this one has a more garbage truck feel to me
i skipped on Astrotrain the first time around, so gave Oct... er, Tankor a go. both alt modes look weak, but triple changers were always like that. his bot mode is the strongest form but isn't great. Prowl and Sunstreaker should be your first buys.
Much better in person than he is in the pictures. I still don't like that blade thing, but it can be put aside and he is a pretty solid figure. He will grow on you.
awesome, but wings look short in jet mode I love his claw.better than astrotrain.
Tankor is surprisingly fun to play with. I didn't think that I would like him, but he sort of grows on you. Astrotrain is still the better Triple-Changer, but Tankor is no slouch either. Now if Hasbro would only make more Triple-Changers...
Easy transformations. Underproportioned wings in plane mode. Nothing special in truck mode. Aside from tall shoulders the coolest feature is the likeness to Octane in robot mode.
