Reviews - Alternators Autobot Hound
Short stubby arms and floating device thingys as feet. Back kibble is half the cars external structure. Vehicle mode is superb and excellent detailing. Gun tiny and hardly visible should have shoulder thingy instead
Hound is the best! He's my favorite Autobot out of them all! I have this figure and Universe Hound. I hope I can find the original. I give this figure two thumbs way up to Cybertron!!!
Two words: Must Buy! I haven't seen a TF like this since...Since...Well, I'm not sure since when. Poseability, V-Mode accuracy, a terrific G1 character, you can't go wrong with this figure!
Very sturdy figure. He's very poseable and a solid addition to any collection. Only reason he didn't receive a 10 was due to lack of arm poseability.
Next I'm going to get MP-02 Ultra Magnus (The Japanese version), then Alternator Wheeljack, even though he's a Ford, and not a Lancia Stratos Turbo
I just got him last night as an early Easter present from a friend. And I must say, I'm pleased with him. He's my second Alternator(my first was 20th Optimus) Beautiful detail in both modes, and a killer jeep! Now he stands right next to my 20th Optimus
One of the best Alternators made. It looks SO close to G1 Hound and the transformation is both complex and nifty at the same time. Very strongly recommended.
Love the name Jeep Wranger! and his Transformations! Hasbro has don it again!
Looks great in either mode. Nice touch to honor the character of Hound. Gun is a little small but that's my only issue.
AWESOME! Looks EXCACTLY like a regular Jeep, right down to the bolts. Bot mode does a great "A" stance and is in proportion and has very little kibble. This is a great toy. Like MP Optimus if you don't like this toy leave this site now!
He would get a ten but his gun barly fits in his hand. Over all a great toy.
This toy is something every G1 fan should buy. My family loves jeep and their is even a jeep plant in my town. I think that the head and the front end of the jeep are the best parts and I use the front end as the illusion gun.
Weird feet, stocky arms, but overall, a great toy. Sturdy.
Love this Alternator! Only thing missing is Hound's shoulder launcher/illusion cannon that he had on the show. Other than that, this figure is perfect!
This guy gets a 9 like before mentioned because of the arms and the gun(too tiny)but he compensates with great details(interior, mufflers and the `turn around´Autobot Insignia)A great upgrade in my opinion,of course, the articulation and doors on his back
...Plus, the japanese instrucion manual doesn't require an electron microscope. 10 pages of beautiful white-on-black exploded technical diagrams, history of jeep,a design works - it couldn't be a more perfect package if it tried.
I shelled out £40($80) for the BinalTech version as opposed to waiting ages for the inferior £20($40) version that wasn't going to be die - cast. From now on I will only buy the BinalTech versions as they are far superior...
Great mold. This toy is just great.
This figure is awesome. I'm really impressed with the series so far, and impatiently waiting for Hasbro to realease Tracks. I have to agree with everyone about the lack of mobility in Hound's arms, but he still is well worth buying.
Pics do not do this bot justice. Every detail is perfect except for arm mobility. Vehicle mode is best yet for likeness. Color is perfect for Hound/Jeep. Extra details like flip-over autobot symbol in bot mode make it even better, keep it up Habro/Takara.
I love how he has the yellow stripes on his forarms. Its kind of like a reminder that even though hes not an army jeep anymore, he still carrys the history of his former self.I think that detail alone is awsome
Nearly perfect, except for the arms. Everything else is excellent. A 10 all the way!
His inability to move his arms much got him a nine. Otherwise, he's amazing, like all the other Alternators. Like all alternators, detailed and fun to transform.
This is a 9.5, perfect mold, except for the arms and their articulation, not a BIG problem, but enough not to make it the best of the best. Well worth the money, as most alternators are.
How could anyone not give Hound a 10!? If you're going to modernize a character like Hound a Jeep Wrangler is pure genius. I'm impressed with the suspension they gave Hound in his alt mode and his leg articulation in bot mode. He definitely rocks!!
