Reviews - Energon Tow-line
Very cool figure, I love the G1 homage, and the articulation and playability are great. I picked mine up secong hand w/o instructions, and transformation was easy except for the head, that took me a few minutes to figure out.
Awsome. So many homages, would look great re-painted as Orion Pax, with prime trailer stripes on the battle platform. Search eBay now!!!
well i thnk that he is not a waste of mouny like kicker and is one of the best autobot in enagon that has the same mold as g1 lronhide
Any of you fellows here who gave Tow-Line a much-earned 10 who want to join my mercenary band of rooftop snipers above the lodgings of this "blank" may now do so. "naff"? Illiterate and unsuspecting...Stick a 0 next to that 1, and blanky's got it right.
only one word for him ........naff
This toy is perfect. I was a very big fan of the G1 Ironhide. This one is a great hommage to him. The weapon is great. He has great articulation. He is a must have. He isnt a waste of money like Kicker. Save you 9.99 on Kicker and buy Tow Line.
Great hommage to G1 Ironhide/Ratchet, good poseability, cool headsculpt and colors, looks great powerlinked with Prowl. I found a way to transform it into pants mode with Prowl as the shirt, looks very cool.
Love the all-around G1 feel of this guy. 'Bot construct yields simple but adequate articulation, battle platform is a great nostalgic gimmick, and he has the coolest Energon weapon to date. Should have been Ratchet, but who cares?
Reminds me of several G1 characters. Articulation, looks, and gimmicks are all nicely done. I would love to see this guy redone as Ratchet.
HE gets a 10 for the body symetry. The sacrifice of the powerlinx of the lower torso was a good idea because it made for an interesting bot. Nice not to see big feet for a change. And I will echo the likeness that he potrays to ironhide, and skids.
Now I like Tow-Line. At least this version MUCH better than the RID one. This is how Ratchet & Ironhide should've been done. I agree with Skynight, there will be alot of kitbashing on this figure.
I'm rather impressed with Tow-line. I was standing at the store debating whether to get him and I'm glad I did. He is a welcome change compared to some of the other figures available.
I can already see everyone kitbashing him into the G1 animation versions of Ironhide and Ratchet...
AAAHAHAHAHA it's the A-team van! I pity the fool that disrespects this figure. Keep his head tucked in and you've got energon ratchet! God, I amuse myself. Seriously, he's not bad.
Tow-line is a great figure. i love the homages to Ironhide, and Skids. its a shame he doesn create legs for anyone though. but all in all, a great figure.
kinda reminds me of GI ironhide
Way cool but probably the leper of the new deluxe molds. Great molds, fragile weapon, but neat sculpt and good ideas. This toy demands to be repainted down the road but as it stands it's fun. Not two toys in one, but close enough to keep you busy.
Not that good, but I like the concept. It's not an official Hasbro mode, but he can Powerlinx with himself. Hey Tow-Line, don't go blind over there!
The truth about Hasbro is that they're afraid. Afraid that a perfect, flawless, good-looking Ultra Magnus at $15 CDN is going to outsell a useless, brick-like Overload repaint at $30. Tow-Line? Please. Tow-Line is the Ultra-Magnus that never was.
thelma: say, fred what's that rumbling sound the mystery-van is making. fred: it could be shaggy. shaggy: na-ah. !CHICOUCHOOCHOU! scooby: zoiks, it's a transformer.
Tow Line looks just like Ultra Magnus but smaller.
I like him alot.I think he kinda looks like a hippy bus. When the bottom half powerlinks,it looks best on him.An overall great toy.He kinda reminds me of G1.
Im looking forward to this guy. Strong Ratchet homage, the battle thingy is cool, and the PL with that part is out of the box thinking at its best. Could do without the tan parts though, grey would be better.
The good: novel approach to powerlink concept is well done, robot mode possibly one of the best from the powerlinx series, figure makes good use of G1 Ironhide/Ratchet design. The bad: Darned if I know.
Surprisingly nice robot mode. Great for powerlinx (not as the bottom part of course!). I think this toy has great playability.
