Love him just for the fact of being Bumblebee. Has very issues, being not cartoon acurated at all. But he´s a VW. But the fact of owning the first version of Bumbleebe makes you wonder how good is for the 80´s? Not the best, but not the worse, he´s BB.

Perceptor
He's a classic original, but that's about all it has going for it. Even back in '84 I was never hyped about it. TFn: too simplistic, completely not show accurate, bad arms, legs often collapse just from the wt of gravity... Below average by G1 standards

I have the Encore one with cartoon accurate face and he's a great little, fn, easy to transform, and I like him.

Gets 7 Points For Just Being Bumblebee. His Body Itself Isn't That Great Though

The first Transformer I ever received. I got this guy in the Fall of 84. This is what Transformers is all about. Easy to transform and to people that did not know he was just a toy car. With him less is truly more. A must have for any collection.

had the re-issue keychain. He's fat. It's a good thing they cuted him up in the 'toons. It's so sad this is the first and last VW appearance (besides the pretender, which is similar), and he didn't even look handsome.Good for it's time.

He was the second transformer I got. Ever. I still own him, and I still like to look at him next to the movie model and think that this is where it all started. Toywise, he's awkward and fragile, but that's irelevent. He was the FIRST!

Same awkward appearance / problems as C-Jumper... but he's a yellow VW Beelte! How cool is that? One of the few "clandestine" cars in the line-up. He's better (in the movie) as a Camaro, but still a classic.
