Reviews - G1 Sideswipe
A very cool bot with a awesome 1980's Lamborghini Countach vehicle mode. Bot mode is nice and I like the head sculpt and the shoulder rocket. Vehicle mode is eye candy all day. What a cool Lambo car! Also gotta love the rubber tires. Very cool Autobot!
The only fault... where is the jetpack? Totally awesome
Sideswipe and Jazz were my favourite car autobots when I was a kid..he is much better than all movie deluxe class figures
one of the most accurate to the show ...his weapons rock...
Sideswipe is a good example of a what would be branded a "Deluxe" figure today. He has decent articulation, a simple transformation, and an awesome altmode. If you're looking for him, get the TF Collection reissue with blue eyes. He's very much worth it!
Ah... The classic 1980's exotic car: the Lamboughini Countach. And with the personality to match. Nicely proportioned, and well articualted, this fig totally rocks. Plus he has the best slogan: I don't break the rules, I bend them... a lot!
Why were Transformers so successful? One needs look no further than G1 Sideswipe. The toy is a joy to transform, as well as pleasing in either mode. Devastated when my nephew pulled his arms out (snap), I was elated to buy 3 reissues when they came out.
How is it this 1 toy could have such an impact on my life? Was it the brilliant auto styling, bot details, fun tf'n or its metal parts? Maybe it's how his motto became a part of who I am today. Whatever, SS will always be considered among my all time favs
