Reviews - G1 Skywarp
I happened to be at a Service Merchandise one day in 1984 and saw Skywarp along with Starscream. I chose Skywarp based on color scheme. Thundercracker wasn't on the shelf. Decepticons in general were not easy to find in the first year. They sold fast.
Has the coolest color scheme of the seekers. Purple and black colors look awesome. Jet mode is very cool and bot mode is the classic seeker mold we all love. Gotta have this guy to add to the most deadly trio of Decepticon air warriors. Great bot to own.
The details on the jet mode are awesome. The robot mode is great. I prefer this one over the other 2, because of the colors, is great to display.
Skywarp is probably my favorite seeker, I have the Encore one, the Classics one and the masterpiece one! They are awesome.
I got the Encore two pack with Thundercracker and got to say, they are well worth $68. I love these guys and i totally recommend them as a first G1 transformer.
GOT THE ENCORE #11 THUNDERCRACKER AND SKYWARP TWO PACk!!!! read the thunder cracker review
AWESOME but he would do better as a spy I mean he could easily snap someones neck at night
this was one of the first transformers i ever had!! out of all the jet's i picked him cuz he had the coolest colors.
The seekers all shared the same mold, and it all boiled down to how they looked, and how much you liked the character due to limited articulation. Skywarp's colors alone make him worthwhile, and add a point from a 7 to an 8.
Though identical to S-Scream and T-Crack, MUCH cooler. Y? He's Black and Purple! What could be cooler looking than that? And he's the only '84 Decepticon that comes in the trad ultra-cool villain colors! (Loses 1 pt for sharing a mold with 5 other guys.)
