...they have kiled my memorys of the ultimate autobot...why did they change a winning formula(ie:articulated lorry) to this...this...rubish that i see before me...it lost 3 points for that one reason

I don't care if you do think Optimus should be an 18 wheeler, this toy kicks ass. Exceptional detailing, awesome and origional design, lots of different modes and options. Ladder-forward makes the toy off-balanced, ladder back - no place for sidearm.

When I began To collect the Rid Series this Was my 6th one to Get Magnus was my First cause he look so cool. But the main Reason Why I give Optimus Prime a 9 is this HE AIN'T A SEMI TRUCK! I Mean OP was my Childhood Hero! Why Did they do this to Him!?!

I think that RiD Optimus is one of the greatest Primes ever made. The head is a fantastic mould of the T.V. show. One downside is the way the battle mode pieces don't stay on that well. Overall this toy is well worth buying.

A great toy to add to the rid line. I like the vehicle and robot modes. What I like the most is OMEGA PRIME. What I do not like is magnus' and Om. Prime's leg. they do not stand that well. I like the soundchip technology. It is very very cool.

Awesome vehicle mode.Super articulate robot AND sper robot mode.This guy shows that super robot Primes do NOT have to be a brick.His sound effects work well with his theme and it is obvious Takra put alot of thought into this guy.The best TF ever.

Absolutely awesome without a doubt! Glad I picked him up for a mere $15 too!!! WOOT!

This is a very cool toy, I am a completist and bought him to add to my prime collection. he is kinda stiff... I wish he was still a truck, and not a fire truck, with no trailer... I don't like the super mode, it looks like somethin' from power rangers.

I think RID Optimus is the best Optimus in years!!! It's got great poseability in robot mode and looks awesome in super mode. I can't think of any other TF from any era that even comes close. The detail is just superb. Armada op is the only thing better

Supremly awesome in every mode. I can't stop liking this toy.

This is the best Optimus Prime I have ever seen by far. His regular mode is a beautiful revamped version of the original prime(due to great flexibility and much more). Then there is the exo suits(with U M)which are awesome.if only it were a semi.buy it.

defintely worth it. loving the 1st body- great looks, poseble,what's with the pea shooter of a gun? not likng the exo-suit idea. the chest and shoulders fall off way to easily, and make him very rigid. great over all

wow! almost better than the g1 godginrai. all modes kick butt. the sculpt is awesome. he definatly has that g1 heroic look, and that's great. i'm not worthy, i'm not worthy! sorry, i gotta go lay down now, buy imidiatly.

Wow, this is one freakin' cool toy. I love it all around. A little flimsy in big robot mode though.

A great toy, Megatron is dead meat for sure, the two toys together can be used to re-enact the showdown from the movie from '86. Battle armour is hard to place on, but all in all, a great toy, worth buying.

This is what transfans have always wanted. I could'nt wait so mine speaks japanese. Which just makes him that much cooler. And with Magnus this man is da bomb!

None will agree to this but I feel he beat the orginal G-1 Prime. Yes I know with out him this prime would never been. but he is so much better in ever way you must buy him if you say you love transformers

Best example for the RID toyline. Worthy of the name optimus, but not quite as good as laser op.

I waited 'till my Bday 7-14-02 to get this guy I didn't like the fact that he is a fire truck, and how he has the clip on armor I got over that, and I was thinking,I wasn't thinking! This guy is awesome! Love everything except the maximize sound effect

Only few RID figures are better than this and thats because they where the Combaticons.The basic mode is sooo true to the series the only let down is the fact that it is impossible to clip the chest on .On a side note is that the matrix in his chest??????

This is THE best Prime toy ever made !! it has so much detail in all modes (my favorite is small robot)and Omega Prime is the coolest Transformer ever made (till now).If you don't have it buy him instead of Armada Prime.

I actually have super fire convoy, but just basing this review on the sculpt alone still warrants a 10. I'm even thinking of picking the U.S. one up too

both modes cool but problem: both modes are made of two halves that fall apart rather easily (especially truck). combination with magnus into omega prime is a joke as only half of prime actually combines with magnus and omega prime is same size as them.

Unfortunately, he does look cool in Battle Mode however, he has the habit of some pieces falling off, and the toy toppling over when his water cannon is forward. That, and the missile launchers on his ladder break easily, one of mine has already.

I think releasing a fire truck prime in the wake of 9/11 was one thing that got this toy bought so much. I couldnt find any in stores for a while . now that i have him, let me say one thing:RID PRIME IS GOD!
