I really dig this toy, I like the transformation which is easy and fun, and he's got good playability in both modes. Colors are a nice homage to Hotrod. I really need to track down the Breakaway repaint!

UGLY. FLAT. But easy to transform and stands well. Posability only so so. Decent addition to the collection me and my kids us to Role-Play with.

Hot Shot
The toy looks WAY better in real life than it does in the pics for some reason. The toy owns, possibly the best repaint ever. I took off the transluscent blue wings and gave him hot shot's yellow ones. Now he looks even more like Hot Rod.

i think his paintjob is better than hot shot's. Really good figure, however his autobot insignia can be scratched off. Should have named him rodimus or hot rod though.

RedOktobre
One of the best Autobot Deluxe Class figures around! I colour is very appropriate too! The missile shoots far! Articulation is not bad, but could be better. The thin "backpack" does limit leg and arm poses. Also, shoulder movement is limited.

They sold this in japan before but this version actually pays more homages to Hot Rodimus for the golden flame designs. Plus, they've named it after the japanese name of Hotshot in Galaxy Force.

This Excellion is so great. The colors are nice. It looks great as both a robot and vehicle. The only downer is that stupid gun doesn't fit in his hand right in certain poses. Still a very cool toy for only ten bucks. Roll Out!

this is the best hot rod redo ever because of the frames

Lord Megatron
Sweet figure. even sweeter when you attach him to Armada overload! he looks like rodimus prime this way you guys should try it! just hook him up to the front of him and he fits pretty good. i should get a copyright on that mode!

primus
a great homage to hot rod, woulda been better with a flame paint job but still pretty good. only problem i found was the wing thingies. the windscreen was the right colour so swap the wings from a hot shot and you've almost got it perfect.

Very good recolor. I agree with JD about the exchange of drag wing colors. What I did is give him Energon Checkpoint's booster weapon, since it never looked right with the (Rodimus Prime) recolor ANYWAY, and ditch/save the packaged one.

Nice re-coloring and good bio for this character.

The new colors are a great homage to Hot Rod. Otherwise the figure is the same as the first Cybertron Hotshot, which was a good figure over all. Good choice for a repaint.

I have always liked this mold since Hot Shot was released. However if you're going to do a repaint of this mold this is definitely it. Great homage to Hot Rod. However I would've prefered the yellow wings on Excellion and the blue wings on Hot Shot.
