Reviews - Classics Astrotrain
I solid update to the original, with transformations that are fun. Colors could have been toned down a bit. Overall a nice addition to the classics line and much better than Tankor (Octane)
only problems are the pointed train front and the white paint
This is my favorite decpeticon. He looks great.
one of my favorite transformers but the blue should be purple and the white should be gray but i like the mold
Astrotrain is a great update of an original G1 character who never got an update before until now. He's a triple changer so his three modes aren't as great as they would have been if he only had two but the three forms are unique and fun to play with.
aw dude i'm so sorry. he is such an awesome toy but he just HAD to get thrown away
i thought this guy was really cool he transforms good, not TO easy and his bullet train mode looks cool and so does his shuttle and robot modes. unfortunately my mom cleaned my room and threw him away in the garbage :v(
Almost perfect, but train mode doesn't look like a train, looks like a plastic dildo instead.
A 7 just because 3 transformations is extremely entertaining. All modes are lacking, however. The robot mode is probably the best, but not great. The shuttle mode would be better if the arms would actually attach, and the train looks like a vibrator.
My first in a large collection of classics (ill buy the rest as soon as poss, and the unrealesed ones on release) Train mode is quite good and gotta love that rifle!
i like him,the shuttle is sweet as is the train and i did not expext to like the train, only complaint i the train front arms in robot mode.
I really like astrotrain. His train mode is now a bullet train! His shuttle mode is pretty sweet. His train mode doesnt really have any trace of a shuttle on it.His shuttle mode has the train halves on the sides but it looks pretty sweet. I give it a 10
Since there is no spot for G1 reissue astrotrain ill review it here. It is awesome ecspecially in shuttle mode. He is my first G1 tf ever! Love him!!!!
How is he the weakest of the line, i love him
This is definately a sweet looking figure. the design is very well done, and I love the paint scheme. The only problem I have is the tail ad shoulders are a bit loose, other than that, it is perfect.
Weakest of the classics line so far.
The weakest of a phenomenal line.Poor train mode, mediocre articulation, shuttle mode somewhat compromised.Paint scheme is overly busy.Even with all its problems, the G1 version is more imposing.Let's hope Blitzwing makes a stronger showing.
I feel the quality in the plastic is a lower grade than what was used in cybertron. that said, the toy itself is a masterpiece with minor probloms such as an unposeable head, the clunky shoulder pads, and the nosecones on the arms get in the way.
Trying to stay true to the original has cost this toy a little in the way of looks and articulation. All my classics have paint app. problems and seem a step down from the cybertron line in design and quality. That said, I still love this line.
The train mode could use a lot of improvement! Since when is Astrotrain a bullet train? He's supposed to be a locomotive! Too much white! The split nose of the train isn't hidden very well in shuttle mode. The robot mode is okay.
Im reviewing myself!! how awesome! very nice toy! recomend only flaw is that mine is a bit "loose" and the paint job could have been a lot better...all over the ship. if only they would have added more color and details... get him now.
Space shuttle is spectacular, robot mode is awesome, but the bullet train isn't so hot. Not to worry, that doesn't detract from a great toy, and the first decent 3-changer in years.
This is a superior upgrade of the original. Great addition to an already stellar line. Now where is the other triple changers? Blitzwing needs to be next.
sorry about the lower rating, but although the robot and shuttle modes are cool the train mode looks like it was an afterthought, i might change the rating to a 9 if they create 3 robots that turns into train cars/shuttle booster/fuel tank/robot.
I admit I'm not giving him a 10 simply because I don't find him as visually interesting as the other Classics, but what a wonderful toy! Nice to see a triple-changer with 2 really decent alt modes (um, "Energon"?), and his articulation is great.
