Reviews - Movie Protoform Optimus Prime
i love this figure. cool in both modes. the protoform mode is verry good. and i like that the figure was given a new reason for being in optimus prime's ansester
an awesome figure with great articulation and cool weapons also his alt mode is great
HA AT MY STORES ALL OF THE FRIST MOVIE WAVE HAS BEEN FOUND
boring!boring!BORING!
optimus alternate mode is to plain.I do not like his alternate mode.
Almost everyone focuses on the transformation, which is fair, but from an action figure point of view the detail and the number of joints more than make up for "simple" meteor form. To me the transformation is just icing on the cake. Cool.
Harry potter, this mode IS in the movie, your reviews show that you know nothing about Transformers. On to the review:Great toy, looks cool, almost no kibble, only small complaint is that his feet pop off the pegs in meteor mode.
these protoforms are definitly more than meets the eye hard to say movie accurate when Prime is shown for such a short time on frame to be exact love the uberpossability and the orange eyes don't think prime in any form had orange eyes love his detailing
We got a flying Prime who can fight Starscream in the air. Alt mode is a futuristic space truck which can roll on the road and fly in the air! What more do you want? The most powerful Prime ever! Really pity the LC Prime who can't fly.
Good!Good!Good!OMG!
Awesome design. I think Optimus Prime fights better in this Cybertronian mode as he is thinner and has less kibble. Too bad, this mode is not in the movie and the transformation is too simple.
Awesome toy, very poseable.
Excellent. Movie-accurate, complex transformation, no wasted parts, easy on the kibble, great mobility and very nice detailing. The exoticity (?) of the whole thing also goes a long way.
I didn't like the feet but I still think he's fine.
I really like the way he has a thin look to him (just like Classics Optimus). His colors are really cool. Another thing great about this toy is that he's fun to get in cool poses. His vehicle mode is odd, but it's cool. All around great toy.
Loses a point for gun not fitting in shell very well, but confirms my opine that the TFTM toys will almost all be very, very good - I prefer the robot mode to the one that's in the majority of the movie - bad Prime! please don't scan in the flamy truck...
They did good on this one. You can hide all the parts that come with him while in dropship mode. The robot mode is great. You can pose it many different ways and it STANDS UP.
Decent toy for the price, good posability as well. The face sculpt is rather skull-like, but otherwise a passable robot toy that happens to turn into a somthing :p
I have acquired this figure and must say that it is awesome. There is a high level of detail, nice paint apps, and quite a bit of articulation for a deluxe.Locks into entry form(meteor/dropship)hiding his robot mode gun which has transformation as well.
Not my favorite alt mode but uniqueness is nice. Predictible/simple TF'n. Bot mode gives good indication of what we can expect of other movie toys: detailed, posable, very 'alien robot' styling is also new to TFs & I like it. Indicates good things to come
As with Starscream, the alt mode of Protoform Optimus Prime is basically a dropship, a reentry mode. Starscream's is more of a pure dropshid design, while Prime's has a resemblence to a truck as well, which implies it can function on land as well.
cool figure but its got a strange vehicle mode and that why i like it
