Reviews - Movie Scorponok
Awsome figure, i do even like the robot mode :P.
altmode seems forced. good figure otherwise.
japanise monster mode for the win lo lol for five#$ at flea market
good figure in scorpion mode robot mode is baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad but good figure overall and fan made monster mode is a great substitution
To be anest with you I was never the bigest fan of this figure. :(
Good beast mode, bad robot mode.
I love my pet Skorponok in is scorpion mode. He is very movie accurate. The robot mode could use some work on and the tail need a tiny bit more articulation.
Was expecting more to xform but understandable... looks pretty cool and I enjoy all the cool mechanisms... I like how he attaches to Blackout, hope that can be done in an upcoming movie...
The scorpion mode is excellent, and highly movie accurate. Since his alt mode is actually supposed to be a spare engine for blackout, I recomend simply getting him for his scorpion mode. He's also a fun one to use with Arcee and some G.I. Joe figures.
(Cont., for hopefully the last time) His face detail is good. 4 red eyes that look like theyre seeking his next meal. And, just to squeeze this in, his robot mode is good. Looks like a standing version of his beast, but, thats okay. 10.
(Cont.)Using the rotating peice on his back and underbelly is a decent way to do it. Good if you just want to watch his claws spin without following him around with your eyes. I kinda wish his legs also touched the surface, but I wont get into that..
(Continuing, again) -that his claws would have a different way to spin, because I dont really feel like rolling him around just to see his claws spin. I sometimes use the spinning peice on his back and underbelly to move it, which works decently.
Continuing from last review due to the character shortage... The tail mechanism is awesome. Its like a missle that doesnt launch out, but more speeds forward to sting through his enemies. The claws are very cool. I like how theyre designed. I kinda wish-
Awesome figure. Im basing this review more off of his beast/vehicle mode, since I never transform him anyway. Great detail. I love the warning labels on it, such as "Keep away" on his claws, "No Step" behind his head and "Caution Fuel Explosive".
Scorponok could have been better. I mean, fold back sides for legs and that's it?! I would have ditched his mechanism on his back and belly and put rotators on his claws instead, then there will be room for more complicated transformation on the belly!
screw scorpy-haters, i grew up with bw, and love this new version of an old favorite
I really like the scorpion mode (spinning claws and stinger are excelent). I have to say that if hasbro didnt have to make a robot mode or make it transformable they wouldnt have. Anyway it is hard to judge a robot mode not shown in the movie.
got him together with blackout in the 'desert attack' pack... very, VERY nicely detailed... it looks almost, if not exactly, like its movie counterpart... lousy bot mode though, they shouldnt have bothered with it. love the stinger attack gimmick.
Waaaay to simple transformation and his robot mode is wierd.Scorpion mode is grate. He can combine with Blackout.
Not as lame as dreadwing. Looks cool in scorpion mode. Robot mode is so, so. Remember how huge the original G1 was. Stays as a scropion on my shelf
Paramount did not have a robot mode for scorpy but Hasbro had to give him one now I like his lame robot mode reminds me of G1 Ironhide for ex where you had a great looking alt. mode and a lousy robot mode great nostalgia ref makes me appriciate him more
Well, I would give him a 10, but the 2 other reasons why I don't like it is because, 1:Robot mode is poor. 2:He lacks face detail, such as his eyes being red, and in the film they were white.
Tough toy to review! Scorpion mode is well sculpted, posable & fun as you could want. Its awesome how claw spin mechanism works wherever arms are posed. Since he never transforms in movie it easier to overlook lousy transformation & lame bot mode.
HEHEHEHE, I got mine for free, Terrible robot mode, but a great looking scorpion mode. A-
Bought him yesterday at TRU. Simple transformation, which normally I like. If I had his robot mode I'd stay a robotic scorpion too. Gimmick works, but not impressive. So far props for movie accuracy. All and all, average.
