Reviews - Armada Megatron w/ Leader-1
Tank mode is brilliant with lots of stuff for minicons to poke around, you can add as much as 10 of the little critters on Megatron in this mode. Lack of posabillity by the legs is compensated by the sheer aesthetic design of Megatron in robot mode.
I'm shocked he got such high reviews! He is a brick, and an atrocity to the Megatron name. You can forget me picking up the Galavatron re-color.
A excellent toy. Great robot mode and his tank mode is the best. Leader 1 is also great and is so far the best Minicon. Horrible Voice.
One of the best. Captures all that's good about Armada
Solid toy, but not without hinderments. Highly annoying sound effects at every turn, really ugly head(helps that horns are removeable), and seems to be paralyzed below the waist. Has enough to make up for it though, but more for completists.
You do know Leader-1 transformes into a gun, right? TARGETMASTER!!
Great Detail, a ton of gimicks, many mini-con ports, great colors, and many good ideas. Not to mention it's a frickin TANK which is perfect for Megs!
HELLS YEAH. Meggy hasn't been a Tank since G2. That in itself kicks ass. I wish he bent at the knees though and was a bit more posable. Whoever made the voice chip needs to be sent to the smelting pit.
Looks nice in both modes. Cool features in tank mode. Minicon is cool in both modes. The legs could be better, and the minicon 'ramp' always falls open on mine. The cannon placement in robo mode is a little annoying to...
He is probably the most posable figure in the entire line, which is sad. It would be better if he can bend his knees. Though for once the all the gimmicks are worth it.(plenty of them!) I like all of his modes! ^_^!
I think after Beast wars I have been spoiled the mini conslimit poses no leg movement it looks goods but lack of posing kills it : - |
I think this toy looks good in both modes. As most of us I also cannot fathom why hasbro/takara could not add posability to the legs. Hasbro/Takara....Please trade sound gimmicks for poseability.
Ball joints would go so far on this toy, but alas I'm stuck with a non-articulated Megs. The t-formation is a little too easy, but back gun and all the gimicks are cool and if old Megs gets in a street fight, SHINK(knife sound)...now thats a knife.
Leg articulation would get him a 9. Better movment for Leader-1 would get him 10. Finding Jetstorm for Star Saber would get 10,000,000...
trade in the sounds for some legs. its disappointingly simple for the size (tm2 megs all the way!). color and look is great- cold and rigid. the fact that he pulls a knife doesn't mix well with the youngsters- yet is cool! L-1 is Toto from wizard of oz.
This toy is so cool! At first I looked down on the antlers but now they add to the Meg's charater! The articulation in the legs stinks! If they had made the legs possable It would have been a 10. Leader-1 is okay.
He needs leg articulation BAD!, other that and a little more complex pincher/head gimmick I would have given him a 10. I think the ZZ TOP turret/guitar gimmick is funny yet excedingly lame. I will be getting a spare and Kit-bashing. the hell out of it.
megs is cool! wish he could move his legs, though @#$%! overal, a great toy. A- p.s. leader-1 can go inside his shoulder! p.s.s. or p.p.s. great gimmicks
Nice, but not as cool as expected. Leader-1 is almost useless. Cell is too small for the Minicons. Ramp is ok, wish it was a little wider. Like the knife gimmick is neat, though. Don't buy unless you're a die hard Transfan like me.
Solid design with lots of decent gimmicks and minicon pegs. How about some useful leg articulation? Need to cover over that head in tank mode too. I was able to fit 22 minicons on him, though I had to group some of them.
Looks great in both modes, but his lower half is a complete brick. It spoils it for me completely
-1 for the simple transformation (come on Hasbro! Powerglide was more complicated! Flip this open that and spin the barrel. Sheesh!). -1 for not being a gun (stupid American legalitys...)
Great-looking toy in both forms. Lack of leg posability isn't that much of a bad thing for me, and I love all the little things you can do with the mini-cons. Great color-scheme and detail. This toy is worthy of the name Megatron.
Very solid figure with a very high amount of details. He looks great in both modes, but the lack of more leg articulation causes limited posability. I may end up getting a few more packs of military minicons just to give him some nice extra firepower.
I thought this figure was rather good. It could have been better but still is quite good. I like the toy but his legs could have been more posable. I think it is rather funny that his minicon is named leader 1! very nice figure over all.
