Reviews - Armada Street Speed Team (Oval, Backtrack, Spiral)
I really liked these little guys. They could move so much more than the average minicons who could only move the arms. My favorite is the blue car (forgot the name at the moment).
Not the best, not the worst. These toys certainly show some ambition, but they do, as many have mentioned, fall apart. A lot. Otherwise I enjoy them.
The best one is Oval he isn't as chunky as the others which is there downside and they all have fragile pieces.
Not crazy about the colors, but love the ambition. Reviews reflect the stability of the consumer's sets. Mine hold together fine, so I'm rating high. Hopefully they can fix the stability issues in later runs.
WOW, by far the most amazing intricate little TFs ever released. They have no dumb gimmicks to get in the way, and they just look cool. I can't believe the Transformations on these dudes. Their only downfall is that they do kind of fall apart a bit.
I love them all but the transformation of the orange dude really ticks me off! The blue dude shows the exact transformation of the upcoming Sideswipe except you don't rotate his legs. Well-done. -Scourgejet
Awesome cars and robots. Go out and buy them!
It's about time they get some realistic looking cars in the Armada toy line, after that piece of garbage they called Hot Shot got passed for an Autobot was made. Best Mini-con set yet (until the Emergency Team set comes out.)
Wow, Hot Shot and Prime isn't as complicated as these little guys! Too bad for the loose parts, but overall, they are great!
The complex transformations almost become a draw back, because of the loose limbs that they create, but this minicon set is worth the money
if only they made hot shot like these little guys! really reminds me of g1 autobots, like the omnibots, who ruled! great transformation, great car modes, and great robot modes. backtrack is my favorite!
cool car mode. arms are not as good as the could be. a must have.
I love realistic looking cars, and this team does that! I got these guys for $3 (I had a coupon,) these guys are one of the best Armada toys out there right now! Ok, the arms are not the greatest, but they are posable (at least my set is).
One acronym: P.O.S.! They look cool in vehicle AND robot modes, but I try to pose them and they FALL APART!!! I'll let this one slide this time, Hasbro, but this is a warning!
overall, not a bad set. vechicle modes are very nice and bot modes are very impressive. a very good buy.
THESE MINICONS ARE THE BEST EVER!!!!!!!!!!!
I like this team because: transformations feels like G1, looks for both cars and robots, and the awesome price tag that goes along with the complex transformations. Buy this instead of Hot Shot, Optimus Prime (brick), Laserbeak, etc.
Despite some possability issues (!?) and a tendancy for some parts to snap off, they really are ingenious and cool looking. Oval fits right in Megatron's left claw and makes him quite menacing. Not great and pretty small, but still fun.
"Perfect score! Oh, wait they fall apart alot, down to a 9."
Posable? Hasbro lied to us. These Mini-cons are barley able to be put into a pose. I wish they did something alot better, like combining. Some things will never change...
Bt & Spiral's chests are too big. Spiral's v mode won't lock into place. Bt's arms keep coming off during TF. TFing Bt and Spiral's feet is kind of annoying. Spiral is the worst of the three. It's a close race (yuk, yuk) between the other two.
Just a bunch of mini-cons that dont do anything special. Their car modes are very cool though. Transformation is acutally a lot more complicated then some supercons. Oval's robot mode reminds me of oringinal G1 in a way. <(my fav)
a noble experiment, but failure. cars modes are ok. they can't be transformed without a arm or leg falling off ~ very irritating. can rarely touch them without something going wrong! what's with the names? spiral is the cute one.
Again another great attempt, but were is the super articulation that is advertised. the car modes are great, but the plastic seams cheap just like it the space team. why cant we get better quality
Another ambitious project, and to be honest, if Armada is to be "Gimmicky," let it be in articulation and not some lame auto-transformation feature. Beautiful car moeds, but the fragility of arms prevent this set from getting a perfect score.
