Reviews - Cybertron Soundwave (with Laserbeak)
I liked Soundwave from Cybertron, but I really pefer the G1 version.
The urge to open it finally got to me, It is a AWESOME transformer though, I recomend anyone whose a fan of soundwave to pick him up! He's hella hard to transform back to a ship after he's in robot mode though, but that's what makes him a cool character!!
I Like soundwave alot but his legs bug me. Ill only take off one point for that. But a really fun toy.
okay, would be 10 if didn't have so much kibble on theb back and the legs were easier to lock into place, other than that great bothj modes
soundwave is cool and all but I have to agree with scorpomike, his legs and bombs never stay in place and has a lot of backweight with his huge wings but still a good figure but should have a bit more detail
Great Soundwave figure, both modes look really good. He loses 2 points for the bombs not staying in place in jet mode 2 bombs). He loses another pt. for the difficulty of his legs in jet mode. Both the legs and bombs can be put back but it's very hard.
The many returns of Soundwave appleases all.
Legs don't lock together as I'd like in jetmode whch makes Tf'n not as fun as it should be. Other'n that toy ROCKS! I LOVE look of bot sculpt/paint selection & like choice of SW as stealth jet. The idea of his companions as minicons adds to coolness
soundwaze is prity cool but he's cost tooooooooo much at walmart he cost's 27.00 buck's and at toysrus it cost's 30.00 buckerroos
Sturdy jet mode, Great homage, and rivals classics jetfire for coolest looking bot in robot mode.
Incredible..An excellent new version of this guy..long overdue but wouldn't have been right until now..this toy is superb..Great idea aligning him with Planet X..faithful homage to G1..Laserbeak nice..Scary cool..Only thing better is Takara Soundblaster..
Newstuff. in the TF Cybertron episode where (in overhauls flashback) two Tf's are talkin bout overhaul, if you pause it.. you see TF cybertron Soundwave. AND! t might be G1 soundwave next to him.
Among the best TF's of the set. Soundwave's always been my favorite TF, and the new jet is solid. The robot mode is a throwback to the original SW, down to the opening chest & Laserbeak. Transformation isn't easy, but not frustrating.
I like. "Prototype" stealth alt needs work to tighten up, bombs don't like wings. Kibble on arms interferes more than anything, legs could have used work. Nice homage overall, one of my faves in line...
NICE HOMAGE TO THE G-1 VERSION.THERE IS SOMETHING VERY WESTERN COWBOY ABOUT HIM THAT I LIKE.
New Soundwave superior, old Soundwave inferior.
Great figure and resemblance to the G1 Soundwave. Always myfavorite, a Must-Have for any fan! Detail and transformation is great. Worth the 20 bucks!
The fact that it's a homage is this figure's only saving grace, really. Not taking that into account, he'd be only mediocre. Skimpy legs make for tricky balancing. But his homage-ness is very awesome, vehicle mode is tight, and Laserbeak just rocks!
I agree with Omega Ranger. I like him as much as the G1 version. Better than the Universe Constructicons.
A nice version of a classic. Faithful to the G1 mold. Transforming can be a stich. But hey! That's where the fun is at!
soundwave[myfavorite decepticon ever]will always be a radio for me but really good work though
While it's no Walkman, Soundwave's jet mode looks good and the robot mode has many common traits with its G1 counterpart, making this a very good homage. Transformation is tricky and fun. My one gripe is the kibble on the arms can interfere with posing.
he was worth 20$ but hard transfomation!
His eyes glow. His alt mode is cool and his robot mode is cool. Hard transformation. His cyber key power reveals Lazerbeak
he's tight !!!!!!!!! but cooler as a radio
