Reviews - Armada Red Alert w/ Longarm
Red Alert is everything I could have wanted in an Armada toy. Great gimmicks, posability, and transformation. Really, he should have been called Ratchet, but he's too cool for that to matter.
The best out of wave one(until optimus comes) this toy gets a 10 for good Transformation, Great minicon gimmicks, and great articulation. Oh yea, his hand tools are cool, especially if you hook StarSabre into his left wrist.
Well he's posable. I'll give him that. But he looks like he's from the playskool line. You can't really take advantage of posability becase of the large panels hanging off his legs. I guess I expected more. This one would be laughed out of RID
I'm surprised RA's my favorite of the 1st Armada toys. TF'n isn't complicated but it's fun. ~Ball-joint hips & multiple joints in legs/arms make for a variety of great poses. Powerlinx add cool features w/o getting in the way. Very cool in both modes
I want an real SUV like RA! Imagine the ad, ...has more HP than a Mack truck, energeon-engine gets better mileage than Toyota Prius, more cargo room than 2 Chevy suburbans, & suspension system w/ more shocks than 5 Ford Explorers!" BTW this toy ROCKS!
The best articulated figure in the line. Nice sound effects and minicon gimmics. Nice transformation.
Good looking robot mode, Car Brothers-level posability, great gimmicks, and the best stability of any Ultra sized TF makes Red Alert the best Armada figure so far. The only knock is the toyish SUV mode. But at least it rolls great and is very sturdy.
Good toy, not the best. It's bretty decent but the feet make it kinda hard to pose(like RID Scourge's feet). All the little things on him make it kinda hard to play with. I like the tool idea but the platform wasn't really needed. Get Starscream first.
Oustanding! Good poseability, balanced color; features are terrific; this is the best of the gigacons easily; easy TF; no homage at all to original, this SUV is very detailed; Longarm works well w/him and repair platform is a nice touch; Bravo Hasbro!
The humanoid legs look mis-matched with the blocky, oversized torso. Hasbro: Two hands on all the toys, please. The arms (too skinny) should be attached to torso instead of doors. A very awkward looking toy. Plus side: The toy's size is impressive.
His chest was umm big for his body I like the red hand tool thingy i still don't like these min bots that they have but still its a good toy
