Voltron idea was good, but the quality is very disappointing. No detail. The robot mode has too small of limbs unless his extensions are on. The vehicle extensions are very undetailed. No clear windows, too many mold lines. The bot head is poor.

wow, his super mode kind of looks like a bad version of the power rangers. all i have to say is this. hasbro you can do better about his super mode, but the toy overall i give it a ten cause i have a place in my heart for prime.

This is reaaaaaaallllllly cool. ijust wish hasbro didnt make him so bulky

Got the mouthplate version. Still don't care for the voltron concept w/ these limbs. Better colors for the fire truck & drill tank could of been chosen. Perhaps red for the fire truck & grey w/ black accents for the drill tank would've looked better.

Standard mode looks fat only in certain angles. The super mode looks great and has a lot of articulation. Overall, I like its simplicity, durability, playability and poseability.

I liked E. Prime more than A. Prime. Std. robot mode is a bit tubby, but not nearly as bad as it looks in pics. Super robot mode has more articulation than A. Prime (thank goodness). Bottom line: Kinda like g1 Prime, with a lil bit extra play value.

I really like this optimus he looks a bit fat but who cares he reminds me more of a megazord off power rangers than a transformer but i do still like it alot.

AT FIRST I WAS NO NO NO BUT WHEN I BOUGHT IT AND I STARTED TO TRANFORM HIM HE WAS AWESOME HE REALLY NICE LOOKING AND HE DON'T HAVE A MOUTH THATS ALL GOOD PLUS HE IS HUGE SO YEAH I LIKE HIM I AM GLAD I BOUGHT HIM TWO THUMBS UP GO PRIME.

Let me try this again: I just found out that Prime is a HOMAGE to the Rangers (who should always be ridiculed). With that in mind, it makes sense. Also, he has the same 'front of truck = chest' thing going as G1 Prime, the design just works against him.

Well made, solid, and reminiscent of G1. It's too much like a PowerRangers, or Voltron robot. Nothing against them, but this is supposed to be a TF toy. Color scheme is not accurate with the show, and I wish the trailer was more functional.

my son loves this toy it is easy to transform and it looks nice in super mode. but truck mode and regular mode look fugly

He's not the best optimus prime but every primes had his bad point. its cool that the assault vehicles combine with prime but couldn't they transform and what else can the trailer do.

Thought he looked kinda goofy at first, but he's grown on me like a fungus. Cool idea to link the small vehicles with Optimus. Think he should've had a bigger gun, but I don't work for Hasbro...

Articulation is good in BOTH modes,rare for a combiner,I actually like how he looks,and the combining gimmick is moderately cool.It's like he's got 4 Rollers instead of one. The Primal type face isn't all bad either...somehow it works with this design.

Good example of gimmick over quality. I like the mini vehicle idea, but I'd have preferred functionality over interchangeability. Future figures that become limbs would be great. But besides Omega I doubt it'll happen.

Anyone who has not yet picked up Prime, do yourself a favor, spend a little extra $ and get the Superlink grand Convoy. It is so much cooler, check kenkon.com , my collection section for comparison shots.

he has good articulation(sp) and sure he's alittle fat but that's no reson to NOT like it. it has articulation like rid prime and that was thet best TF ever! but i don't like the face plate, but they did correct that. thank God!

Wow i've never seen so many bad reviews but i'll give this a shot... he is a good TF. i mean he's WAY better than the armada prime and i thought that was good too. but a step in the wrong direction? NO!! this is a step in the right direction

The best besides unicron.

This is one of the best optimus's yet {well besides 20th Aniversary Masterpiece Prime}. but his face needs a bit of work. and his super mode is awsome as well. all in all he is a great transformer definetly worth it.

Not good at all. HE looks terribly as plain prime and almost as bad when he is combined. Also what is up with his mouth anyways. I'nt that a optimus primal thing. Overall he does not live up to his name and get a armada if you want a prime.

You people hate because of his gesault mode. Really, look at G1 Devastator or Predaking, you think they are PR Megazord wannabes! Everybody's only complaint is that he looks fat and over wieght!

i just got my optimus and i am pleased. i thought it would only be cool in super mode, but i was wrong. his regular bot mode has a lot of articulation, and even if he is fat, he still is awsome in super mode.though hes not as good as optimul from BW.

Does any one have the version with the show accurate faceplate? Are they going to change the colors to look more like the show?

This Optimus Prime toy is not the best. the armada was cooler but with this prime we get a cool look at his old form in G1. He looks alot alike. This Optimus has cool transform,
