Good transform. You can't tell he's a robot in car mode. However, Jolt's gun doesn't stay on the hood well, the axle missle is easy to shoot in your face,& the joints in the legs make it hard to stand. Nice to see a return to the car modes like G1!

disappointing tf, lil too simple. irregualr arms are weak too. J is a great Mini. J to HS interaction in car mode is great, but in robot mode it is annoying to have to reconnect J every time you want to fire the missle. makes me miss the autobot brothers.

This has a SWEET car mode which makes up for the piece-o-junk robot mode. The arms are definetly the worst point in the toy. I would have loved to see him hold the gun in robot mode. Jolt is an SWEET Mini-con.

High Road
I was dissapointed, thou I didn't expect alot. I only bought him first for two reasons, 1) He's the star of the mini-comic I have and 2)His CN cToon can be seen in the cToon showcase at the CN website. Nice but not impressive.

After RID I really expected Hasbro to maintain that level of quality with their Car Robots. A decent Car mode, but plastic tires, low paint detail, a bad color scheme, plus a goofy robot mode really hurts what could have been a really cool toy.

Worst toy of the entire line in terms of articulation. Hasbro could have done a lot better.

I love this toy. Posability actually isn't that bad. Great features and detailing, interesting expression on the face. Wasn't as bad as I thought he would be, and actually looks intimidating with the launcher and Star Saber.

Not amazingly good, not terribly bad. Limited articulation, unusual Minicon enhancement. Color scheme is... interesting. Get if you can spare the extra $10-$15. Otherwise, don't bother.

Hot Shot has an attractive quality. This do not stop my dissappointment level. Its a shame that Hasbro would have gotten off their lazy duffs and put some thought into detail and transformation. Their utter lack of care is what keeps this toy from a ten.

By no means a great TF, but not as bad as I expected. No, it's not jointed at the shoulders, but neither was Hot Rod. It's a very juvenile-looking toy, but the car mode/colors do make it sort of "fun". Kids will love this toy, but collectors...?

This is one of the ugliest robot mode guys I've ever seen. Fortunently his car mode is really cool and makes him worth buying.

Interesting car type, a bit blocky, I like his appearance (except the face). Arm articulation is good not great, legs are little wobbly, and the missle launcher is a little troublesome sometimes...Good but you might want to wait for other Autobots.

The car mood very cool & sleek despite the yellow color :-( As for the robot mode, I'm not especially impressed however Hot Shot is still a nice solid toy. The attachable engine gimmick is actually pretty sweet.

decent toy. reminds alot of a future bumblebee(blargh). otherwise okay. and, i said it before and i'll say it again, he is way to easy to transform.

I think that these reviewers haven't expirienced HS and J, but I have. People are dogging his lack of a 2nd shoulder joint, but they couldn't have done it any other way. Jolt is pretty cool, the ball joints could have been a lot better. Worth the money.

I am giving HotShot a 9 cuz he has an interesting blend of colors with minicon gimmicks. The axlezooka is pretty cool(i shot the toysrus lady with it)and Jolt is the best minicon i have so far. Buy Hotshot! he's awsome!

The April O'Neil of the transformers universe. I'm relying on Pat Lee to make this series cool in the comics, somehow. Like his cannon, and that is about it. Hasbro has truely turned it's back on the collectors. We made them and we can break them.

Not nearly as bad or as good as I was expecting based on reviews! Fairly cool flip cannon makes up for fairly uncool arms. HS falls way short of the intricate tf'n & detail of RID autobot bros. But does have fun aspects about him to enjoy in each mode

this guy is a character you can really build off of. he has a lot of personality to spare and thats not usually the case with transformers. his robot mode is almost cute. perfect mix of simplicity and uniqueness. great fun with minicon to.

Overall, a great toy, if you take it for what it is, meaning a kids' toy. Gimmicks work great. Of all the Minicons I have, Jolt is the best by far.

Yes, I know you all think he looks dumb and can't move, but he's got a charm about him. Reminds me of 1984. With a hobby that can let you lose the short-packed toy to a five-year old you have to take the good with the bad. And Hot-Shot isn't half-bad.

This toy really takes me back to the days of late G1...and thats not a compliment. This guy is blocky and cartoony-looking not to mention immobile. Like Jolt better than hotshot. Looks like hasbro has undone 10 years of improvement on articulation.

Not nearly as dorky as I thought he would be, I actually kind of like him. Decent poseability, but could have used a bit more detailing. Jolt is pretty lame. ALL RED? Bad paint job on the little guy. Not a bad buy , despite my earlier hesitations.

Had to get a good guy to start with, nice details in Vehicle mode,Colors are a bit diferent. Claws are alright, but Mega particle cannon in back is BA, visor is a nice touch. My main complaint is his lack of a side-arm, and lack of shoulder articulation.
