Reviews - Armada Optimus Prime w/ Sparkplug
The auto-transformation looks and feels prototypical, but it's still very cool to see it do its thing. A few minor quibbles, but this is a great Prime. Waaay better than I though he'd be. Still not sold on the Minicons though...
Would it killed them to use more paint on the smaller Prime? And Super Prime's head is so god aweful ugly! Will not get the orivelage to be displayed in my home.
Trailor/cab together looks tough & powerful. I LOVE the truck mode & his fun & unique TF'n mechanism. My only dislikes: I wish arms were more posable in each mode & I don't care for the sculpting/colors of the super OP head. But overall a very nice OP.
Smaller Optimus very nice. Great truck, great robot. Well articulated. Super Optimus is very reminiscant of the powermaster Optimus. Sadly, the legs are still frozen, which loses a point on this review. Still, absolute must have.
Cab is OK, Remindes me of G2 Lazer Prime (RID Scourge) with similar TFing. Trailer is blocky. Small robot has ok posibility, base looke nice, bit super robot has as much posibility as G1 Hotrod. Sparkplug is good, looks like its name should be Bumblebee.
The main issue is his poor articulation and the hollow places on his back in 'Super' mode.
The legs, don't move, but I like the trailer and the combination into it's "mega" mode.I'm looking forward to the cab of Optimus Prime thats coming out, because it's legs will be able to move.
The "normal" Prime reminds me a lot of Scourge from R.I.D. Great to see a Matrix on an Optimus figure at last (even if it isn't removeable). Auto-transform base is kinda...eh.
The remote action is awesome, but the poseabilitiy is low and The original is the best because he started it all
I CAN ONLY SUM IT UP IN 3 WORDS BEST PRIME EVER I LOVE THE AUTOMATIC TRANSFORMING TRAILER BUT I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE POSIBILITY I HAVE THE POWER MASTER PRIME BUT I DON'T REALY LIKE IT AND RID PRIME LOVE IT I LOVE THE ARMADA PRIME
Ugly design in all modes. Truely lacks payabilty in large mode, and fairly brick like in small mode too. Ugly truck mode. Auto transforming gimmick doesn't work very well, and is against the whole point of transformers. Sparkplug ain't bad.
Really cool, one of the best optimus' yet. Though it lacks in mobility, it makes up with it ability to transform by itself (well the trailer)Cool in every mode, it also has a pretty cool mini con. Rarely will the trailer not work
Sparkplug has to be th coolest minicon yet!The super mode isnt the greatest. It would of been cool if his legs could move!!!Come on!!!The legs cant stay together!Besides that it is one of the coolest armadas.
Well it's ok. but the auto transforming trailer is annoying. Super mode is awsome it has that huge gun and if you put the Star Saber in his hand that glows it lights up. If you buy one TF this year .... Make this your second
It's cool. The trailer tfs just fine for me and I like the transformed version of the cab but the only problem I have is the superbot mode.
This rating is solely based on his minicon, the coolest one there is. Optimus leaves a lot to be desired, his trailer is especially bad.
I had high hopes for Armada, but it's Beast Machines of it's time, only worse! I've given up on the show, I REALLY like the comic book's, I don't like the toy's very well but I'm going to keep collecting them. I can't wait 'til the next series!
FINALLY, a Transformer that (kinda) transforms itself! Coolest feature of this toy. The small Prime is nice, sturdy lookin bot. Sparkplug is the best minicon so far. Super mode Badly needed more posability. All in all, a fitting Prime.
i liked the overall fact that prime could combine with his trailor/base, the weapons and lights and sounds (and minycon) were the icing on the cake so to sum it up in one word; PERFECT
i always wondered what the big space was for on his back, its to hold sideways and smokescreen. he looks so much better with them in the space too. when S/S is in him, his cannon looks real sweet. and S/W adds some small firepower with the 2 guns of his.
What a disapointment.I like the smaller Optimus but super Optimus barely stands on his own,and has no mobility. His trailer legs constantly open, and spread.I've had to use the clear plastic bands he comes with to keep him together.
This is a really cool toy. The IR feature is the coolest gimick going and the super bot is neat, with the exception of zero articulation. What is with his face in super mode, he looks like Optimus Goldfish, ha ha...cause he looks like a fish...get it?
One word-WOOOOOOOOOWWWW SWEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTT and CCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLL just it turns to trailer and turns back when it is in base sometimes odd
i know...let's make the wheels stick out some more to make it look more ugly... man it HAD potential, but it was sadly wasted. could have worked good without the gimmicks, but sparkplug saved him from a 1. nice gun tho, but base is junky too.
veh. is awesome! looks powerful. loose the IR. i would rather just have op, with base and no "super" mode, it's creative, yet hopelessly tragedic, doesn't look prime-y. great weapons! small prime is really cool, carrying the matrix? SP is good tfing.
